Arxan to Speak at Digital Hollywood on Key Content Protection Technologies and Strategies
Session to explore security solutions that secure digital assets across the evolving digital media landscape
WHAT: Kevin Morgan, chief technology officer, Arxan Technologies, will participate in the panel discussion, “Protecting the Product: Content Rights and Technology Solutions in Media and Entertainment: Implementation of Technology Strategies,” at Digital Hollywood Fall, Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 3:50 p.m. in the Ballroom Terrace.
Morgan will address various underlying security requirements of digital asset distribution models such as digital rights management (DRM) standards and technologies, to protect premium content as it is distributed through today’s varied entertainment ecosystems. Whether it’s movies, music, games or television shows, entertainment and information are being consumed anytime and anywhere. This dynamic demand for content, apps and data has led to the development of mobile devices and open platform technologies, such as smartphones, tablets and OTT and IPTV as methods to deliver content in today’s multi-screen world. These “Hollywood 2.0” models, however, face growing challenges in protecting digital assets against hackers whose aim is to subvert the content producers’ and distributors’ business models and intellectual property (IP).
