Bethesda, Md.,  April 21, 2009 -  Arxan Technologies®, a leading provider of application hardening solutions that protect software applications from tampering today announced that it has completed the integration of its GuardIT® solution with McAfee’s ePolicy Orchestrator® (ePO™) console, achieving the McAfee Compatible designation for GuardIT.

Today’s sophisticated hackers increasingly target the application layer for their attacks. In most multi-layered security approaches, the integrity of application code is the last line of defense against malicious threats. The integration of Arxan’s application tampering detection and alerting capabilities with McAfee ePO software allows customers to receive prompt notification of external or internal application attacks.  With security alerts being delivered directly to the ePO,console, enterprises can now respond immediately using various protection and remediation options to thwart tampering attempts.

Arxan’s GuardIT provides unique binary-level abilities to defend, detect, alert and react to threats without changing source code or disrupting software development.  The policy-based Guard reaction framework allows customers the flexibility to determine how Guard-enabled applications can provide security.   With this integration, GuardIT reports critical security events directly from the host running a protected application to the ePO server.  Tampering detection alerts contain detailed information about the threat and are surfaced immediately into ePO dashboards.
