Paladin Homeland Security FundPaladin Homeland Security Fund

Paladin Homeland Security Fund, L.P. invests in enterprises whose principal business centers on products and services that address homeland security issues and needs. General partners include Kenneth Minihan, former director of the National Security Agency (NSA) and James Woolsey, former director of the CIA. The Fund's first priority will be to invest in existing companies with immediate solutions designed to prevent harmful attacks, defend against attacks, cope with the aftermath of attack or disaster and recover from terrorist attacks and other threats to homeland security.

Solstice CapitalSolstice Capital

Solstice Capital is a seed and early-stage venture capital company that invests in alternative energy, education, the environment, life sciences and information technology. Solstice was formed in 1995 and currently has $80 million under management. General partners include Harry George, Henry Newman, and Fred Bamber. Solstice has an active investment in Okena, the leader in intrusion prevention systems that was recently acquired by Cisco; Lumidigm, an early stage biometric company; and Lumigent, a company which provides comprehensive database auditing systems.

Managing Partner Jim Pastoriza was previously a Partner at JPMorgan Capital in San Francisco and AT&T Ventures in Washington DC. He held operating positions at AT&T and graduated from MIT and Columbia University.
