CERIAS

Arxan maintains a close working relationship with the Center for Education and Research in Information Assurance and Security (CERIAS). This close relationship guarantees up-to-date access to the latest ideas and research in the field of InfoSec, as well as access to a talent pool that Arxan Labs can draw from in order to quickly add additional staff if the project plan requires staffing beyond that of our permanent staff. This also ensures higher quality results in that a project will not be completed by a team of unaffiliated "remote and independent" consultants, rather, they will all be located on-site allowing effective project management and quality control.

CERIAS is currently viewed as one of the world's leading centers for research and education in areas of information security that are crucial to the protection of critical computing and communication infrastructure. CERIAS is unique among such national centers in its multidisciplinary approach to the problems, ranging from purely technical issues (e.g., intrusion detection, network security, etc) to ethical, legal, educational, communicational, linguistic, and economic issues, and the subtle interactions and dependencies among them. The mission of CERIAS is to advance the knowledge and practice of information assurance and security through the performance of world-class research, the delivery of the highest quality education, and by serving as an unbiased source of information locally, nationally, and internationally.

SERC

The Software Engineering Research Center (SERC) is an NSF Industry/University Cooperative Research Center. Throughout its 18 years of existence, this center has supported research in various areas related to Software Engineering. Arxan is currently working with SERC on developing costing models for utilizing software security, and other metrics related to the adoption of software security methods in the software engineering process.
