Joe Sander joined Arxan as CEO in August 2015 with an outstanding track record of scaling growth-oriented companies and enabling them to reach their full potential. Sander’s experience includes a legacy of generating customer and marketplace growth for technology enterprises and security businesses through direct sales and by building strategic alliances and distribution partnerships. His background includes senior positions leading all aspects of operations, with specific expertise in software as a service (SaaS) delivery models. He most recently served as president and CEO of Harmony Information Systems, a Healthcare IT organization where he developed a strategic roadmap that resulted in an increase of 309% in year-over-year bookings. Prior to joining Harmony, Sander served as president and CEO of a Netherlands-based company, Consul Risk Management. Under Sander’s guidance, Consul established itself as a leader in the Forrester “Security Information Management” Wave and was recognized as the Most Innovative Company in Holland by a leading Dutch magazine. Mr. Sander has a track record of success in North America, Europe, South America, and Asia and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University.
Chief Financial Officer
Dick Davidson joined Arxan in May 2017 as Chief Financial Officer. Dick has over 20 years of senior level finance, administrative and general management experience. After starting his finance career at IBM, Dick has served as chief financial officer for a variety of private and public companies in the SaaS, technology, and professional services industries. Prior to Arxan, Dick was Chief Financial Officer for Solera North America, the leading provider of technology and data services to the automotive collision and repair industry. At Solera, his focus was delivering growth while developing strong operating disciplines in the team. Dick has extensive experience scaling operations in high growth environments, managing merger and acquisition transactions, and building and optimizing corporate infrastructures. He holds a B.A. in Economics from UCLA and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.
Chief Technology Officer
Sam joined Arxan in May 2015, with the mission to shape the technical directions and drive innovations. Sam is a proven technology evangelist and leader with over 25 years of experience in both leading product development and professional services companies and he continues to be active in both startup and open-source communities. Prior to Arxan, Sam was CTO for EPAM Systems (NYSE:EPAM), a leading product engineering service provider with over 10,000 engineers around the globe, with the goal to transform the company and bring focus to core engineering excellence. He has also spent close to 10 years with Oracle Corporation, where he led development groups as VP of Engineering, bringing multiple innovative and profitable products from concepts to market, including Oracle’s first in memory database, to more recently the Sensor/IoT Based Platform.
Sr. VP, Worldwide Sales
James previously served as North American Sales VP with Imperva, where he helped accelerate revenue growth over 150%. Prior to that, James has held senior leadership positions at PTC, Red Hat, and IBM. James has over twenty years of domestic and international sales experience. He graduated with honors with an MBA in Finance from Texas A&M University System, BBA from University of North Texas, and has completed post graduate curriculum from Harvard Business Leadership Program. In his spare time, James enjoys coaching his daughter’s basketball teams.
Sr. VP, Global Customer Success
Dennis Reno joined Arxan in April 2017 as Senior Vice President, Global Customer Success. Dennis has over 30 years of professional experience directing client engagement, technical support, technical training, and technical account management programs to drive customer retention and customer satisfaction. After starting his career at Pacific Bell (now AT&T) Dennis has achieved a successful track record designing and leading operations dedicated to customer onboarding, adoption, and retention with a specialization in SaaS and cloud services. Dennis has held executive positions leading global Customer Success teams at companies such as Proofpoint, Inc., New Relic, Oracle, Microsoft, BEA Systems and Plumtree Software. Dennis is highly accomplished building, leading, coaching, and empowering global customer success/support and professional services teams to deliver optimal client services and exceed business targets.
President & General Manager, Apperian
Mark leads the Apperian business unit, which was acquired by Arxan in late 2016. Working closely with customers, partners, and team members throughout Arxan, Mark helps to establish the business strategy, platform direction, and field execution for Arxan enterprise app security products. Prior to Apperian, Mark was VP of Marketing at TIBCO Software, leading the marketing organization for the Spotfire Analytics Division following Spotfire’s acquisition by TIBCO. He also held marketing and product leadership positions at PeerDirect and NuSphere (both acquired by Progress Software), iConverse (an early mobile app development platform), and Accenture. He graduated with honors from Syracuse University, earned an M.B.A. with distinction from Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College.
