Boston Mobile App Developers Meetup – App Showcase

It was great to have everybody back at Apperian and AppOrchard's hosted Boston Mobile App Developers meetup last night. 2012 year started with Application Showcases. Here is a quick view of last night presentations. As the founder of Apptopia, Jonathan Kay is building a marketplace that helps broker the sale of mobile apps, meaning the ownership of your company. Apptopia is also creating an exit strategy for mobile app developers, as well as an investment opportunity for people who cannot build apps themselves. Find out more information at http://apptopia.com/ Carl Gundel presents his iPhone app "I Run Basic", which is a client for a web programming platform. This app allows you to easily write a simple, basic program on your iPhone or iPad that will work directly on that device. You can share this program with others who will be able to view the program and the code. " It's about making web programming easy, and being able to use those web programs on your iPhone or iPad." For more information on this app, visit http://runbasic.com/ Founder of The Meme Design, Kostas Terzidis has created an app for buying and selling parking spots. The app allows your to use your mobile device to "offer" a parking spot on the app for a desired price where someone will be able to "pick up" the space and reserve it. For more information about this app, visit http://www.thememedesign.com/ James Young of Theresa Neil Interface Designs discusses how his company takes existing businesses with a strong web base community, and strategically leverages niche apps to build off the community that they already have online. TNID helped a particular network that created an app to help expecting parents find out what to expect before birth and during the early development of their child. For more information on this company, visit http://www.theresaneil.com/ Thank you for being part of our community and see you all next month. Apperian Team
