Xamarin now free...!

The story: After acquiring the mobile app development platform a month ago, this week Microsoft announced that Xamarin will now be included in all Visual Studio platforms, from the free Community edition to the Professional and Enterprise edition, at no extra cost. Also, Visual Studio Enterprise Subscribers will get complimentary access to Xamarin's enterprise capabilities. What does it mean? Users can now develop and publish native apps for iOS and Android  with C# or F# in Visual Studio for free with no limit on app size. Miguel de Icaza, co-founder of Xamarin, gave a demo of the new capabilities at Microsoft's Build 2016 Developer Conference. Over the next few months, Microsoft will be open sourcing Xamarin's SDK, making their runtime, libraries and build tools, including the cross-platform tool kit for building user interfaces, available on Github. This is just the beginning. Before we know it, Xamarin will be integrated in many of Microsoft's products. Learn more by visiting the Xamarin blog, here.
