Why BYOD?

Why BYOD? (Bring Your Own Device) Reinhard Schumak, Director Product Mgmt., talks about the advantages for your company to move to the BYOD model versus the old model were companies provided mobile devices to their employees. Traditionally, corporations would cycle out their PCs every four years, in addition to a release of a new operating system every two years. Nowadays, the rate of innovation is much faster, with mobile devices coming out every year, and operating system updates every five to six months; it seems almost impossible for companies to keep up with the pace. What can your company do? Enable your employees to embrace the revolution of BYOD and cut the cost of cycling through your their devices. Empower them to choose what device they want to have, and feel most comfortable with.
