Joe Sander joined Arxan as CEO in August 2015 with a track record of scaling growth-oriented companies. Sander’s experience includes a legacy of generating growth for technology and security businesses through direct sales and by building strategic alliances and distribution partnerships. His background includes senior positions leading all aspects of operations, with specific expertise in SaaS delivery models. He served as president and CEO of Harmony Information Systems, a Healthcare IT organization where he developed a strategic roadmap that resulted in a 309% increase in year-over-year bookings. Sander served as president and CEO of a Netherlands-based company, Consul Risk Management. Under his guidance, Consul established itself as a leader in the Forrester “Security Information Management” Wave and was recognized as the Most Innovative Company in Holland by a leading Dutch magazine. Mr. Sander has a track record of success in North America, Europe, South America, and Asia and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University.

As COO, Mark oversees Platform Strategy, Product Management, and Marketing at Digital.ai. Mark joined the company following its acquisition of Arxan, where he served as COO and was instrumental in transforming the company into a leading enterprise provider of application protection solutions. Mark joined Arxan following its acquisition of Apperian, where he served as President & General Manager. Prior to Apperian, Mark was VP of Marketing at TIBCO Software following its acquisition of Spotfire, where he led the Analytics Division. Mark also held marketing and product leadership positions at Progress Software and he began his career in Accenture's Technology and Strategy practices.

As Chief Marketing Officer, Deborah brings over 15 years of enterprise, SMB, and consumer marketing experience to Digital.ai. Deborah joined the company following its acquisition of Arxan, where she also served as CMO. Prior to joining Arxan, she led Global Product Marketing for Neustar’s Security and Risk divisions and Symantec’s Norton Consumer and Small Business Unit, where she was responsible for developing innovative strategies to break into new categories and markets, including launching the consumer mobile security business for Norton and web application firewall business for Neustar. Deborah also led marketing for Callaway Golf Company’s Women and Junior Golf division, and started her marketing career at Johnson and Johnson’s Personal Products Company, representing iconic brands such as Band-Aid Brand and Listerine.

Aaron joined Arxan in 2007 and has been a central figure in developing and innovating Arxan’s core technologies. In his current role, Aaron advises Arxan’s Executive and Engineering teams, armed with industry and academic experience in information security and software development. His deep technical expertise is in reverse engineering, cryptography, compilers, linkers, and operating systems. He holds a BS in Computer Science from The Ohio State University and a MS in Computer Science from Purdue University..

Rusty Carter is a security software executive with over 20 years experience, and the current Vice President of Product Management at Arxan Technologies, an application security company that provides application shielding and protection against reverse-engineering and tampering to the world’s largest companies. Prior to Arxan, Mr. Carter led product management at Symantec, McAfee, and Pulse Secure (formerly Juniper), and was responsible for the introduction and growth of multiple new products and lines of business. Mr. Carter holds international patents in the fields of information security, AI / machine learning, telecommunications, mobile devices, and user interaction. Mr. Carter’s background includes system and software architecture, engineering, and has a bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Arizona.

Chad McDonald, VP of Customer Experience, joined Arxan in January 2017. Chad brings more than 20 years experience building and managing information security programs, including more than eight years as the first chief information security officer (CISO) at Georgia College & State University. Chad is responsible for the success of Arxan customers, overseeing account management, support, professional services, information security and compliance. Prior to Arxan, Chad was executive director of the Office of the CISO at Optiv where he defined the security strategy for a $70 billion dollar merger between two technology giants. As director of professional services at Imperva Chad helped grow the services revenue by 400% during his tenure. Chad holds a bachelor’s degree in information technology from Southern Polytechnic State University, as well as multiple certifications including CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) and PMP (Project Management Professional).

Mike Kelley joined Arxan in 2007. He is responsible for overseeing the company’s FP&A, legal and sales operations activities. Throughout his tenure at Arxan, he has been an integral part of the company’s milestone events, including key financing and investing activities, customer acquisitions and strategic partnerships. Prior to Arxan, Kelley held various accounting and finance positions at Broadsoft Inc. and Costar Group, Inc. He holds an MBA from Loyola University and a bachelor’s degree from Frostburg St. University.

Andrew Whaley joined Arxan in 2016 as VP of Engineering, bringing over 25 years of experience in innovative development from industry leaders such as Oracle, Accenture and Barclays. Prior to joining Arxan, Andrew led the research and development into financial security topics such as secure mobile application delivery, cryptography and blockchain at Barclays and holds several patents in those fields. Since joining, Andrew has established and led our European engineering capability which has successfully delivered 3 of our market leading products in that time. He holds a bachelors degree in Applied Computing from Manchester Metropolitan University.

Rob Friedman joined Arxan in 2016 through the acquisition of Apperian, where he ran the engineering team. Rob has over 30 years experience leading software development teams, with a recent focus in mobile and Software-as-a-Service. Prior to Apperian, he held management positions in various software startups, including Groove Mobile, Vlingo, and EveryScape. Rob holds degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Michigan.

Jessie Angulo joined Arxan in 2015 to establish the Human Resources function and now leads global people operations. Jessie’s more than two decades of experience include HR leadership roles in media, technology, consulting and nonprofit organizations. Prior to Arxan, she managed HR service delivery for National Geographic Channels International and was part of the HR strategy team for Fox International Channels. Jessie also established and managed the HR function at cloud computing service company Virtustream and the Washington Humane Society. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Florida State University.

Prior to his current role, Ashok led Broadcom’s multibillion-dollar Enterprise Software Division, where he helped create a platform for global enterprises to scale their digital transformations and become real-time digital businesses. Ashok has held leadership positions at several Fortune 500 companies including CA Technologies, IBM, Rational Software, Honeywell and Novartis.

Ashok holds an MBA from Santa Clara University, an M.S. and B.S. in Chemical Engineering, and is a Registered Professional Engineer in California. Ashok earned a master’s degree in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Ashok holds patents in IT governance and automation and pending patents for Blockchain technologies. In addition, he is also the Founding Commissioner of the UN Blockchain Commission.

Most recently, Stephen served as EVP and CFO at Black Duck Software which was acquired by Synopsys for $565M after growing revenues by 3X over a 3-year period.

Most recently, Christian served as VP of Engineering at SimpliVity. Following the acquisition of SimpliVity by Hewlett Packard Enterprise, he served VP of HyperConverged Infrastructure R&D at HPE. Previously, Christian held senior engineering roles at RSA, DynamicOps (acquired by VMWare), and EMC.

Prior to his current role, David held positions as EVP Products at RF Code, SVP Product Strategy at CA Technologies, CTO at BMC Software and VP Products and Strategy at IBM. In addition, David also worked as a Research VP at Gartner where he focused on key areas including DevOps, IT Operations and IT automation.

Stephen Elop is a seasoned leader with more than 20 years of experience in enterprise software. He currently serves as CEO of APiJET. Prior to this, he was Group Executive of Technology, Innovation, and Strategy at Telstra. He also served as Executive Vice President of Microsoft’s Devices Group, joining from Nokia where he served as the President and CEO. Throughout his career Stephen has also held executive roles at Juniper Networks, Adobe Systems, and Macromedia.

He has been or is currently involved with TPG’s investments in Advent Software, C3 IoT, Eze Software, IMS Health, RefleXion Medical, Sonatype, Vertafore, and WellSky. Prior to joining TPG, he worked in the Technology group at Morgan Stanley, where he advised on and executed M&A and corporate finance transactions.

Presently, Angela is Chairperson for the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology, Director of Progress Software (NASDAQ: PRGS) and Chief Operating Officer for Uplight, Inc.
