Boston, MA, December 14, 2011 – Apperian (www.apperian.com) today is making mobile app management faster and easier for businesses to implement by adding support for HTML5 in its Enterprise App Service Environment (EASE) platform. The addition of HTML5 support enables businesses to begin using their app catalog immediately, as there are no requirements for application signing or configuration. HTML5 is natively supported by many mobile browsers. Innovative applications are now possible using features such as canvas elements for graphics, embedded video without the need for third party plug-‐ ins, geo-‐location and offline mode. Businesses now can more quickly and easily pilot and roll out new mobile apps, while end users can access these apps from any mobile device running either iOS or Android. Companies using EASE can now deploy a fully branded app catalog using iOS, Android and HTML5. “The addition of our HTML5 catalog meets the critical need businesses have to distribute mobile apps quickly and efficiently, while continuing to provide the best-‐in-‐market user experience,” said Carlos Montero-‐Luque, SVP of Engineering at Apperian. Apperian has also added other features that improve the performance of EASE, including:
  • High performance file uploader for Apple IPA and Android APK native app files
  • New APIs that allow customers to directly create accounts programmatically
  • Enhanced reporting
Apperian is a mobile application management (MAM) company. Apperian’s EASE platform supports iOS and Android devices, and is used by many of the world’s largest companies to deploy and manage mobile business applications.
